Original Creation

Trilogy of Bob Ross recreations

Voy Kay 15 Apr 2021

Three Bob Ross recreations were used for this wooden board of 6"x24", to be used as a decorational cover above the microwave in our kitchen as seen in the added pictures.

Hope you will like the idea to combine two or more Ross recreations and unite them? My family really adores it and can't wait to have this board installed afer it has dried.

Fantastic painting Voy! Absolutely awesome idea to unite 3 in 1. It looks gorgeous! Quite a small size vertically and you did amazing job to make it looking great!

HI, thank you dear Sunnylady!!
These three were chosen specifically to match with each other, where specially the sky needed to be right for all three of them.
The smaller size did hamper me with the details but in the end, AND seen as a whole, this is a pretty good result!!

So happy you like it and hope it will inspire others to unite Ross creations!!

Amazing!

Thanks Colin, I was real happy with how this stunt came out!

How wonderful this one again Voy Kay.

This combined trilogy is a great idea Voy, and you did a great job of it too. The colours work very well. It never ceases to amaze me what people here come up with. I showed this to my husband but he still won't let me "bob" his guitar!

Haha, Dona, always a treat reading your comments!
I had the idea already weeks and weeks ago, but needed the time to execute it. Almost four hours this creation lasted!

TLP I had to laugh so hard with that guitar!!
I would recommend it though, a quitar gets 10 time more personal when painted. Mickey Rourke did it in the movie 'The Expendables'!!

At least twice, I glanced at all 403 creations from Bob to find three that would (more or less) easily match. The family gave me a green light after viewing all three options and voila, I was SO thrilled I brought this one home!

Voy, while I was doing my cave waterfall painting I started to imagine what would be off canvas further into the cave and I intended to do another one to complement it but haven't got round to it yet. The idea of merging three together to make one coherent scene takes it up a notch, it is genius! Thank you for putting it out there, I can't imagine anyone not being impressed.

Heartwarming words from you, my friend TLP!

I have a similar, panoramic canvas still available but bigger in size, 12"x36", prepared with black gesso since it was recycled. I might have another go at such merging project soon. It takes quite some preparation but as you mentioned, a good result will always impress the viewer.

Thanks so much for cheering! Wishing you strength, inspiration, health and motivation, amongst many, many other positive things!

cool!

Thank you Jeremiah!!

oh wow Voy!!!! This is incredibly beautiful. You sure had a great idea.

Hehe, thank you so much Toadi!
Yes, we had that empty space above our oven (because of renewal microwave) and never knew how to fill it up. Then all of a sudden, I came up with the idea of a painting, but what to paint? So after some real hard thinking, I came up with combining several!
So happy you like the result, stay safe and till next one!

Just got done looking at the 3 originals and you integrated them together beautifully with subtle changes, really cool!!!

Voy Kay Conqueror of Challenges

Thank you Toadi, I studied all of Bob's creations up front to be certain to pick three good and suitable ones!
It's worth to try this again and will think hard over that!

Great idea and beautiful execution. ❤

This is a really nice idea, Voy. I've done double canvas but had not thought of combining multiple paintings. You reached amazing results on how they flow together. I really like this very much and I'm sure your family will be blessed to get to admire it every time they use the microwave!

Thank you Umagaan, always happy with your supportive and appreciative comments!

Indeed Lori, the result was breathtaking to the family and they will love it on its destined location since, also colorwise, it fits so well in there.

I'm probably the first member to merge three Ross creations into one, and I'm not surprised since it does take quite some preparation up front! I am currently looking for a second possibility with three or even four creations to be merged. Nothing hasty though, it can take weeks or months!

You might be tempted also Lori to try such endeavour. You have the talent/skills to do this. I still have your four seasons creations alive in the back of my head because they are SO adorable and so well painted. It is something I would love to try myself, time permitting.

Stay safe, happy painting and till next one!

This is great Voy. It flows and looks like a natural panoramic view.
I have thought of something like this myself with the combination of episodes.. But only with the thought of 2 and not 3episodes. This turned out great.

Great comment from you LJM!!
I must admit that a snow scenery was very suitable for this kinda endeavour. Something similar might be done with perhaps a forest or so, but the lighting/background needs to really fit for all two/three/four of them. It is the main condition for such creation.

Have a go, no worries, and success!

Voy Kay Conqueror of Challenges

Dear Guna, I would be flattered if you were to try the same creation. Go ahead, please! Meanwhile I have already found a second possible trilogy that I hope to paint before summer!

Beautiful!

Hehe, thank you Joha! It's wonderful to have such endeavour been cheered so much about!; I LOVE IT!!!!
